Afterschool Programs

Through afterschool programming, we are able to reach girls across a multitude of grade levels across the District of Columbia. Programming at each location looks different because we cater to the needs of each school that we serve. At each site, girls build a sense of community while growing mentally, physically, emotionally and socially. Opportunities to become stronger, smarter and bolder are provided to all of our young ladies through the use of Girls Inc. curricula, outside resources and also field experiences. Girls grow as individuals and also as leaders as they participate in a variety of activities.

Tubman Elementary School

Grades 3-5

  • Wednesdays, 1 hour

Howard University Middle School

Grades 6-8

  • Tuesdays and Thursday, 75 minutes

Grades 9-12

  • Wednesdays, 1 hour
