Girls Inc. DC is proud to have been interviewed by Kirstin Garris of ActionNewsJax about the ”Protect Black Women & Girls Act” introduced by a bipartisan group of lawmakers that would create a federal task force to examine the conditions and experiences of Black women and girls nationwide. Executive Director, Dr. Heather Hairston along with Girls Inc. DC alum Kiah Herron and Kayleah Moore spoke about the need for this legislation and their experiences with racial and gender inequality.
